Aletha Jacobs, the author/composer of this book, has taught piano at Columbia College since 1999, with an emphasis on Jazz and Improv. She also teaches Jazz Ensemble and Music Literacy. As a professional musician for well over 30 years, she has performed in every kind of venue, from playing in bands to performing with orchestras.
